CARPET ASSOCIATE WANTED!!!
The Expo Group is seeking a Carpet Associate to join our Warehouse Operations team in Irving, Texas. The Carpet Associate works with the Carpet Supervisor to ensure that all materials are pulled and prepped for upcoming events, and that returning materials are properly cleaned, repaired and put away for the next event.
Our perfect candidate will…
- Examine carpet for defects, variations in dye lots, soil, and tears.
- Pull carpeting from roll onto floor to facilitate inspection.
- Walk or crawl over carpeting, feeling and scanning carpeting for defects
- Seam carpet cuts and clean soiled areas
- Set carpet in carts according to delivery list for each show
- Drive forklift as required.
- Be comfortable lifting and moving carpet rolls
- Forklift experience preferred
- Occasionally travel overnight
- Understand the following working conditions:
- The worker may be subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- The worker may be subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour are possible.
- The worker may be subject to noise.
