Description
The Expo Group is seeking an Environmental Designer to brings brand, activations, and marketing strategies to life by asking key questions to drive and interpret internal and external client needs. Environmental Designers take a large creative project and develop an overall design while managing responsibilities for the direction and creation of design deliverables. This position will quickly develop strong mood boards, art direct Junior Designers, evolve ideas, implement strategies, and create overall design concepts all with varying budgets. Environmental Designers communicate, present concepts and story-tell to customers and internal stakeholders. They manage complex design plans while working cross functionally with project managers, detailers, strategists, and sales leaders. They can use consultative discovery with clients to determine their needs and ideas.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of professional experience in environmental design or related field and a BFA/BS in Graphic Design/Industrial design/Architecture or relevant work experience in a related design discipline. We need someone with a strong 3D and 2D Portfolio illustrating diversity and creativity. Our ideal candidate is highly experienced in Adobe CS Suite, 3D Studio Max, Vray and 3D software for modeling, texturing and rendering, and knowledge of BeMatrix, Octanorm, or architecture are a plus.

This position is remote eligible and the team prides itself on great work-life balance.

  • Produce final renderings, graphic design and art direction as well as production ready graphic design when necessary.
  • Interpret client needs and find creative solutions
  • Develop concepts, implement design strategies and produce interactive and brand-design oriented solutions
  • Take creative direction and constructive design criticism well.
  • Meet commitments and illustrate time management skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Exhibit organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strive for excellence, display passion in their work, challenge themselves and their peers while contributing to promoting the company image.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills – verbal, written and illustrative.
