Based in Irving, Texas, this hybrid role is critical to developing best practices, driving cost-effectiveness, and fostering strong collaboration across departments to uphold our industry-leading reputation.

The Expo Group is seeking a Field Operations Director, Freight to provide strategic leadership and ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence in freight operations for trade shows, exhibits, and events. Based in Irving, Texas, this hybrid role is critical to developing best practices, driving cost-effectiveness, and fostering strong collaboration across departments to uphold our industry-leading reputation.
In this role, you will:
- Define and communicate strategic goals for enterprise freight operations
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance safety, service, and profitability
- Collaborate across departments to align operational execution with client expectations
- Coach and develop field leaders, driving career progression and succession planning
- Analyze show performance and recommend improvements in labor, process, and cost efficiency
- Lead cross-functional efforts to standardize show planning and execution
- Educational Foundation: Associate degree or equivalent experience in logistics or trade show environments
- Experience: 5+ years in warehousing, freight, or trade show operations
- Credentials: Leadership experience in managing operations teams and show-site execution
- Key Skills:
- Strategic planning and communication
- Process development and optimization
- Financial analysis and decision-making
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational software
