Bring Trade Show Designs to Life as Our Floor Plan Designer
Are you ready to transform event concepts into precise, compliant floor plans that set the stage for unforgettable trade shows and events? The Expo Group is seeking a Floor Plan Designer to create detailed layouts that meet client needs, adhere to regulations, and ensure seamless onsite execution. This fully remote role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth operational setups and client satisfaction.

In this role, you will:
  • Produce detailed floor plans and layouts using AutoCAD and ExpoCAD.
  • Customize layouts based on client specifications, facility requirements, and operational needs.
  • Ensure all plans comply with Fire Department regulations and facility codes.
  • Submit layouts for approval to Fire Marshals and facility contacts, following up as needed.
  • Maintain and update facility files, CAD libraries, and archived plan versions.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, Operations, and Sales teams to deliver creative, technical solutions.
What You Bring to The Expo Group:
  • Educational Foundation: Associate degree or technical degree in drafting or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2–3 years in floor planning, AutoCAD drafting, or related design work.
  • Credentials: AutoCAD proficiency required; ExpoCAD experience preferred; AutoCAD certification is a plus.
  • Key Skills: Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, excellent communication skills, familiarity with Fire Marshal approval processes, and ability to explain technical designs to non-technical stakeholders.
