POSITION SUMMARY:  The National Sales Manager provides leadership, support and expertise to the Enterprise in the design and implementation of sales strategy. This position is also responsible for monitoring all Sales-related activity to improve and maintain organization, consistency, and comprehensiveness of related policies, programs and systems.  Develops & achieving high standards through improved training, communication and a cooperative effort.
 
  • Oversees national sales programs for an organization's products or services.
  • Develops sales objectives, strategies, advertising, and promotions.
  • Develops and evaluates new product ideas.
  • Makes recommendations to senior management regarding opportunities to maximize sales.
 
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform.  The actual duties required of this position will vary.
  • Responsible for securing Trade Show/General Contracting sales and services tailored exclusively to the trade show and event industry. 
  • Represents TEG to Show Management, Association Executives, Exhibitors, Convention Managers, Convention Bureau Staff, Hotels and Conference Centers and subcontractors creating good will and securing business
  • Prospect for new business by developing targeted solicitation plans for key accounts including any and all potential meeting venues, hotels, associations and corporations with trade show events.
  • Works with TEG Account Managers, Project Managers and Sales Managers to coordinate with others within TEG for all phases of pre show, on site and post show project management.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with clients to ensure their needs/expectations are consistently met or exceeded on schedule.
  • Creates and conducts TEG Capabilities presentations
  • Prepares RFP responses
  • Develops creative proposals and presentation materials including, floor plans, rate sheets, artistic renderings, etc. for presentation to current and potential clients.
  • Negotiates and prepares contracts to secure new business and retain existing business
  • Proactively provides information to clients to assist in securing future business.
  • Attend, participate and maintain memberships in local and national industry events and organizations to provide maximum exposure for the Company; and meet face to face with clients.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the Tradeshow Industry and our competitors.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 Years demonstrated sales experience in Trade Show Industry
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Consultative selling skills
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
  • High level of financial and business acumen
  • Staff consulting and relationship building skills
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers
