The Expo Group is seeking a Vice President, Business Development to join Level5 Events. In this pivotal role, you will drive new business opportunities and develop relationships with senior executives at Fortune 1000 corporations. You’ll be responsible for selling corporate event solutions, including sales meetings, product launches, and proprietary events. If you are an expert at cultivating relationships and delivering customized event solutions, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will:
- Develop and foster new business opportunities through networking, generated leads, existing clients, and prospecting.
- Manage and cultivate client relationships, presenting strategic and customized event solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to convert prospects into long-term clients.
- Leverage your personal network to uncover new business opportunities.
- Attend industry events and travel as necessary to solicit new business.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in business development, with a focus on selling corporate event solutions, and a proven track record of $5M+ in annual sales.
- Client Relationship Management: Experience managing relationships at the C-suite level.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and CRM software; experience with Apollo is a plus.
- Skills:
- Ability to sell to senior-level executives in corporate and higher education markets.
- Strong understanding of the B2B event landscape and corporate event needs.
- Skilled in networking and leveraging relationships to generate new opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a proven ability to exceed expectations.
