The Expo Group is seeking a Field Operations Manager to join our Operations team in Irving, Texas. The position will require a person with the ability to both lead and work independently; as well as, being part of a team environment. The position will require the ability to work on multiple and changing tasks simultaneously. You must be able to manage small to large temporary labor forces in the field; as well as, understand union labor jurisdictions and rules. The position will require travel, for extended periods of time, throughout the United States.

 

Our perfect candidate will…

  • Be responsible for the accurate preparation and forecasting of field (show-site) equipment needs. This is to include the creation of load list report(s) with delivery requirements; as well as, any rental equipment or miscellaneous equipment needed to support show-site operations.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Inventory Control for field operations. This is to include, but is not limited to, accurate receipt of all Inbound shipments, the accurate loading/manifesting of all Outbound shipments and the establishment of an effective and quality oriented onsite usage area.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Process Control for field operations.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Labor Control for field operations. This is to include, but is not limited to, accurate pre-show and onsite labor projections/budgets, daily labor calls, recognition of show-site duties, lead personnel identification and assignments, supervision of field labor to include necessary adjustments to meet both client and corporate expectations, and the education/implementation/maintenance for all Labor Personnel on TEG Quality Standards.
  • Facilitate and coordinate a professional relationship with all TEG Departments, Vendors, Sub-Contractors and Field Personnel.
  • Facilitate and coordinate a professional and “Service Oriented” relationship with both Exhibitor and Show Management Personnel.
  • Participate actively in all pre-show, daily and post-show meetings. This participation is to include collateral reports that may be assigned by the Field Operations Manager or the Director of Enterprise Operations.
  • Maintain accurate show files. This is to include, but is not limited to, daily labor costs, established onsite Foreman reports, equipment analysis, labor analysis, usage reports and work order status/analysis.
  • Afford accurate, complete and timely status updates on all Management Work Orders to support accounting efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of annual department budget and goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and training procedures.
  • Incorporate technology through the use of TEG’s Enterprise Operations System or other means as deemed appropriate or through company process changes. Assist in the preparation and accumulation of data for predefined and user-defined reports.
  • Participate on various committees and task forces as assigned.
  • Be able to work on a flexible schedule, as needed, to support on-site field operations.
  • Perform other collateral duties as assigned.
