The Expo Group is seeking a National Sales Director to join our team. This role is responsible for developing relationships within the industry in order to convert leads into successful customers. Beyond actively acquiring new business, this person should focus on building strong relationships with current clients to find new opportunities for sales growth. This role will be actively driving and managing customer sales by methodically nurturing, building, and managing a sales pipeline.

Our ideal candidate has bachelor’s degree and five years demonstrated sales experience in Trade Show Industry, specifically in the Orlando, Florida market. We need someone with an ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy, a high level of financial and business acumen, and the executive presence to influence senior decision-makers. This person is: a visionary able to turn customer need into actionable solution, a driver with never-quit attitude that knows how to drive sales on an accelerated schedule, and a personable communicator capable of connecting with clients and prospects to assure that their express needs are met.

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Secures Trade Show/General Contracting sales and services tailored exclusively to the trade show and event industry.
  • Represents The Expo Group to Show Management, Association Executives, Exhibitors, Convention Managers, Convention Bureau Staff, Hotels and Conference Centers and subcontractors creating good will and securing business
  • Prospects for new business by developing targeted solicitation plans for key accounts including any and all potential meeting venues, hotels, associations and corporations with trade show events.
  • Works with The Expo Group Account Managers, Project Managers and leadership of various departments to coordinate with others within TEG for all phases of pre-show, on site and post show project management.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with clients to ensure their needs/expectations are consistently met or exceeded on schedule while proactively providing information to clients to assist in securing future business.
  • Creates and conducts The Expo Group Capabilities presentations, prepares RFP responses, and develops creative proposals and presentation materials including, floor plans, rate sheets, artistic renderings, etc. for presentation to current and potential clients.
  • Negotiates and prepares contracts to secure new business and retain existing business
  • Attends, participates and maintains memberships in local and national industry events and organizations to provide maximum exposure for the Company; and meet face to face with clients.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the Tradeshow Industry and our competitors.
  • Travels 35-40% of the time
