The Expo Group is seeking a dynamic Account Executive join our Exhibits team in Irving, Texas. The Exhibits Account Executive focuses on inside/outside sales efforts against prospect leads and lead sources, as well as a base of existing customers that translates to higher, more aggressive sales goals. New business growth is aimed at C-suite corporate customers and building full program clients with high annual spend. Some travel and personal sales appointments are required.

  • You manage your territory by maintaining complete and accurate records with the technology and tools provided to you.
  • You research industry shows, publications, directories, internal inactive accounts and referrals to generate additional qualified prospects.
  • You know your account base including: key markets/product segments, business strategies, budgeting cycle, competitors, and industry changes/developments
  • You are goal focused, and achieve 100% of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and activity levels by:
    • New business prospecting weekly, adding new leads, accounts and opportunities to Salesforce
    • Continuously work pipeline to levels established by sales management
    • Maintaining the required direct profit margins.
    • Conducting online and face-to-face sales presentations, discovery/strategy sessions, and post-show debriefings
  • You develop high, wide and deep relationships. Identify potential prospects at every level of each organization (gate keepers, decision influencers, decision makers, economic buyers, etc.)
  • You sell holistically. Use qualifying techniques to qualify prospects as business worth pursuing and/or for potential cross-selling/up-selling opportunities
  • You are a storyteller not a pitchman. Maximize role as consultative sales person with significant percentage of existing customers utilizing strategic and creative ways of match our value with their organizational and business needs
  • You develop your personal brand to inspire trust with others
  • You will participate in vital development activities such as regular reporting, meeting attendance, and mentorships. You will provide insight and input to help grow the overall department and create solutions for your clients
  • You will maintain up-to date industry knowledge by attending competitor’s shows and industry events, reading industry publications and actively participating in provided trainings. Keep up with advances in the industry and company so that you possess a good understanding of all product offerings and value propositions

 

This is what we need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience in exhibits
  • Proactive communication skills both externally and internally, verbally and written
  • Strong demonstrated skills in Word, Excel, PPT and Salesforce
  • Good time management skills, including setting priorities, follow through, attention to detail, works well under pressure and is highly accountable
  • Naturally a go-getter, competitive, resilient, persistent, flexible, demonstrates good judgement and professionalism
  • Overall a team player and shows commitment to self, job, department, company and our mission
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships that lead to high customer satisfaction and retention
